"Teaching is my profession, but distilling is my passion, I'm a first generation American, whose parents immigrated from England in the late 1950s. I graduated from California State University Long Beach in 1981 with a B.S., and I also received my professional teaching credential afterwards. I later received my MBA from Azusa Pacific University. I have been teaching biology and life sciences at a public high school level in California for the past 10 years, and I can truly say that I enjoy every moment of it. However, my true passion lies in distilling. The first time I saw the distillation process I was completely hooked. I trained in both Germany and Switzerland on Alambic Copper Pot Stills, learning the entire process from master distillers."
